FFmpeg 64 installer does not?

After using the installer (Mac OS X 64 bit), there is no library named ‘ffmpeg.64bit.dylib’ in System HD/Library/Application Support/audacity/libs folder.

Also, on the download page, there does not seem to be a ZIP file of the library for manual use.

Is there a way to get this installed?

Same problem here,
I’m running Audacity 3.2.1 on OSx 10.14.6.
After having downloaded https://lame.buanzo.org/FFmpeg_for_Audacity_3.2_on_macOS.pkg and installed it there is no file ffmpeg.64bit.dylib on the path /Library/Application Support/audacity/libs, more in general the file can’t be found on the whole Mac.

Hi. I’m new to this forum (thank you for being here and letting me join) and to Audacity. I’m running Audacity 3.2.1 on Mac OS Catalina 10.15.7
I think my problem may be the one reported in this thread but I’m not sure. I followed the link to download FFmpeg and see this message:

Mac OSX 64 bit FFmpeg library for Audacity 3.2.0 and above:
ATTENTION, the .pkg file for ffmpeg is broken, a fix will be provided asap. 2022-10-31
Does anyone know how soon this might be resolved? I’m fairly new to working with audio and have a deadline. Would converting my m4a file to mp3 to import it to Audacity be a good idea or would it be better to wait until this problem is fixed?
I appreciate any help.

Hi, Audacity tells me there is no problem with the package, but as I am getting more reports, I am not sure if there is user error or something else. I do not have an OSX computer to test this on, regrettably.

There is no problem with the package as such, it just doesn’t contain any ffmpeg files.

(On a Mac) I get this:

Hi, the .dmg package for audacity > 3.2.0 was not working. We confirmed with a few users. I have updated the site, please use the link RECOMMENDED download: ffmpeg_64bit_osx.pkg
